A Christmas Story
"Herr Pyro. Vould you come here, bitte?"
Medic huffed slightly, rubbing at his temples. Really. This was beginning to get seriously out of hand. It was understood that the firestarter could be something of an overgrown child at times (causing his behavior to range from the adorable to the downright disturbing, depending on the setting, though Medic found it strangely endearing when he would giggle at enflamed Spies or use his fire ax to play 'go for distance' with the BLU's heads) but
really.
Presently, the masked individual came trotting up to the infirmary door, dripping with an air of playfulness.
"Hrrlrr, Mrrdrrc!"
"Guten Tag."

Distant Memories
Medic thought he'd never get to see it again, never get to hear that beautiful sound. There was some nights he had been so desperate he'd held his bonesaw up to his chin, his eyes closed and hand going gently back and forth through the air as the music played in his head. In the end he would always open his eyes and it would all fade away, lowering the tool he would just sigh and put it away going back about his business like it had never happened.
Months past and even pretending couldn't help him anymore, Medic had never had much of an imagination, and the more he relied on the memory the more it faded. The music became fuzzy and the bonesa

The Heavy X Medic Debate
Okay, I wasn't going to do this
But after seeing so many comments like:
"How can you not ship them?"
"Apparently if you hate gays being badasses or you hate fatties being with hotties, you can."
"BUT THEN YOU SUCK."
Right... because that's so totally true. And yes, those are actual quotes from fans of the couple.
Look, it's fine if there's artwork, fan fiction, cosplays, groups and more about these two. That's your opinion, that's fine. I, in fact, have found some of them to be very good and quite adorable. Opinions are opinions, I'm fine by that. We all have guilty pleasures, no big deal.
HOWEVER
I've seen dozens of how they A

Mortal Kombat, its characters, arenas, story and concepts belong to NetherRealm Studios, not to me.
I belong to myself, as does Gancena.
All mentioned concepts and characters of Tales of Symphonia belong to Namco.
=RoyalFanatic owns herself and Cecilia.
The story itself is mine.
Yeah, this one’s going to be marked Mature warning for Fatalities.
Oh… my… geez. This thing is finally, finally done. After how long? Like, two months or something? Geez.
The main reason for that is I struggle through fight scenes, especially one-on-ones, where I can’t also glimpse at any other action going on. Therefore… I procrastinate a little. But hopefully I won’t have to write a chapter like this again; the plans don’t appear to call for it.
Additionally, as I growled about in an earlier journal of mine, I did have some technical difficulties. I feel no need to repeat them here. But from that point forward, cautious? You bet. I doubt it’ll happen again. (It only seems to happen on Presario when I leave the document idle for too long… )
And the opponents? Any resemblance to real life people, living or dead, is purely coincidental. I will say, however, that I made a religious literary allusion with Gancena’s opponent (complete with symbolism!) and paid tribute to my former Taekwondo teachers with Scorpion’s. Given what the current plans for this book hold… yes, one could interpret that match-up as symbolic-prophetic.
Speaking of Scorps… I’m sorry, I want to go on for a minute about his voice. See how I put it in italics? That technique came from that one awesome Scorpion fic, Spectre in the Flame by Onion Man Chive on FF.net. In fact… here’s a link. [link] Advertising? Probably yeah. Shameless? Why should I be ashamed?
On the other hand, actually writing for him seems really… really hard. X.X I seriously struggled through this first conversation. But it can only go uphill from here.
Now, one last thing: I know that some readers out there are inclined to skip fight scenes, but at least skim these, please! I placed some important thoughts in there!
Now I can finally get rolling on the next chapter. We will see everyone featured in the tournament, but with not as much described action. Just so you guys know.
(New length record, by the way. Twenty-four and a half pages!)
